missing pedipalp!

good day guys, my male tarantula matured last two weeks, today i notice that his two pedipalp is missing! what should i do? i'm planning to mate him once he create a sperm web, and to my reasearch on how to' breed they use their pedipalp to intercourse with the female?

i'm so worry guys need your help badly.. thanks!

I haven't heard of mating tarantulas without pedis.

Ask ko lang if Your sure na male siya and had his ultimate molt? Assuming its really a male and had an ultimate molt, It probably had a bad molt.Maybe it would be better if you Could post a pic of it. Pero a male t without a pedipalp would probably not be able to mate/breed at all.

this is my mature male b. albo. sorry guys i'm having problem uploading the pictures using servimg, anyway this are the pictures, as you can see there are only 8 legs on my tarantula it is suppose to be 10 legs with his pedis'.

Based on what I know, males would only acquire their tibial hooks on their ultimate molt. So yung sayo nagultimate molt na. And based sa pics mo, mukhang nagsperweb na yung albo mo. I think there is no way of mating him without his pedipalps. Sorry...

hmmnn.. based on my research if a mature male tarantula had his ultimate molt, they will not eat, but my mature male eat once a week.. as of now i'm waiting for him to molt again, If a leg is lost, it will grow back.

correction sir. male who had their utimate molt would still eat after. you cannot make the basis of "not eating" as a sign of maturity. i had several ts who had their ultimate molt but would still eat after.

you said your t had hooks. Tibial hooks and palpal bulbs are signs of maturity in a male t. meaning, if your t already had hooks, nagultimate molt na yan. besides its already making a spermweb based sa picture. only mature males would make spermwebs. Sperm web + tibial hooks in your t = mature male who already underwent his ultimate molt. missing lang yung palpal bulbs due to bad molt.

its true na pwedeng magregenerate yang pedipalps or any appendage as long as magmolt ang t. so ang chance na lang na t mo is to undergo this thing called "post-ultimate molt." pero bihira lang ang ts na nakaksurvive niya. its when a mature male t would undergo another molt after his ultimate molt. +1 hmmnn.. domesday logic sound, i'm hoping for my tarantula to molt again (post-ultimate-molt) just to acquire another pedi's.

sorry to say automatic expired na ang male mo.. hindi na mag regen ang pedipalps nya since mature na cya.. even though mag ultimate molt yan hindi mag fully regenerate ang pedipalp nya, and without the pedipalps there is no palpal balbs.. wag ka mag based sa hooks, hnd naman necessary sa mating yan, protection lang yan nang male against the female fangs. kapag mature na ang male tarantula mo mas kailangan mo cyang pakainin (powerfeeding) dahil mas kailangan na nila nang protein, maraming sacrifice ang male ts kapag nag mature, some cannot climb anymore at nawawalan na sila nang venom sa fang, so make sure na small prey lang ang ipakain mo..
