for me mas madaling malaman tong h.mysor kesa sa ibang heterometrus sp. sa coloration palang
gray kc color nila. kapag tinabi mo sa longi kitang kita pag kakaiba pati sa claw

yung laoticus at spinif soon to post, sa feb 10 pa kc sila dadating Smile

between laoticus at longi may teknik na cnabi sakin tropa ko.
kapag daw tinapat sa UV light yung longi kulay green.
kapag naman laoticus tinapat mo sa UV light color black pa din Smile

Chineck ko na, parehong nag kulay green haha! Pero yung longi smooth ang pedipalps, yung laoticus daming granulations, check mo din yung sayo pag dumating, malamang pareho lang tayo ng pinagkunan lol!

dude trip ko h.mysor mo ah hehehe. ganda nga ng kulay lalo ung male parang may pagka metalic gray ung dating. pa pm ng source and price baka buy ako.

From google/arachnidae:

H. laoticus: Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam
8-10cm bodylength
Body is matt black, nearly totally smooth. The only Heterometrus sp. that have no granulation on the
prosoma ("head"). Telson is brown/black, but white the first two instars. There is no sexual demorphism in this species, the claws of the male and female are of the same size and the bodyshape is generally the same. The male does then to have thicker claws and more pointy granulation on the interior surface of them. There might be sligth differences on the species depending on country of origin.

H. spinifer: Cambodia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam
10-13.5cm bodylength
Shiny black body with granulation all over. Thorn like granules on the pedipalps. Unique pattern of granulation on prosoma, see drawing and picture.
Telson might be black/brown, red or yellow in adults, in juveniles it's white and appears darker for each molt. There's no obvious sexual dimorphism in this species. Claws are of similar length, bodyshape the same, but i have noticed that the claws might be thicker and the metasoma longer in males.

H. longimanus: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philipines
8-12cm bodylength
Body is black and granulated. Looks like H. spinifer but the males have very long claws.
Telson yellow/red but white in the first two instars.
The subspecies has been removed by Kovarik, but I choose to use the drawings by Couzijn here to illustrate the difference in granulation from H. spinifer
