My Fascination For Tarantulas

Ive Started in Fishkeeping Before i was Keeping Flowerhorns and Breeding them aswell. One time i was Browsing some WebSite came accross some Pictures of Spiders It was a Aphonopelma Bicoloratum so i was Just Curious so I type the name in Google and saw the Caresheet of it. then I came To a Fish Show in Manila and Talk to some of my friends in the fishkeeping hobby and Heard somebody talking about Tarantula's So I Sneak in and listen. This two guys was Drew and Bosing. So i ask them kung ano pinaguusapan nila? They answered Gagamba!hehe they Had already Keeping Tarantula's for a while so i ask Them some Newbie Question So they told me to acquire some But They Also Told me na Nakaka adik yan!hehe Then They Told me To Check There Thread In Our Fishkeeping Website PALHS. So When The Show Ended Went Strait back home in The Computer and Went to yahoo search Type The Name Tarantula Forsale Philippines. Bad Choice and a Big Mistake! My addiction Started!

The Next Morning I came accross The Name Of This Guy Jreb29 or Masterpogi Jreb29 So I text Him Tagal mag Reply... Snabero pala!haha.. So I called Him and ask for some particular specimens and told me that i better check it out before i purchase some so he invited me to come to his place to check out the spider. Bad Choice Again and Very Big Mistake!

When we reach his Place my Brother and i went inside. First time i saw a live tarantula specimen The Bohemi First Captured my Eyes And The Difficilis With Such Big Legspan And saw This 4 Layered Rack Full Of Big Spiders Around 25 or more Adult tarantulas and so some Ketchup cups so I ask him if ano yan? He answered Tarantula! Maybe Around 50 Plus tarantulas and scorps. And Told me na paubos na daw yung Stock! paubos pa yan ah!

So we ask him About some tips of taking care of it in captivity and some caresheets of the spiders and he was really open telling us some good tarantula keeping tips that i still apply now. So i started Asking him the specimens that i was Interested in Keeping! as Usual Newbie hindi mawawalan ng G. Pulchra, G. Pulchiripes, G. Rosea, B. Emilia, B. Vagans, B. Albopillosum A. Brockelhursti, L. Difficilis and N. Chromatus. This was My First Purchase my Magic 9 Spiders When I started Cream of the Crop! Classic Begginer Tarantula's!

After 2 days Again I went to his Place And Purchase Some more Specimens

2 Pcs. B. Smithi


After like 2 days Got More Rare Specimens From Doc Ken From the South.

Hawak ko ngayon specimen is not less 200 pcs. Sling to Adult. Kailangan ko Check sa Log Book kung Ilang Species. Next Week nasa 400+ ulit 210 pcs, yung pinadala ko dyan last week. sana konti lang casualty. Post ko Din Lahat ng Dumaan sakin na Specimens Simula ng Nag Umpisa ako. 50% cguro ng lahat ng Available Species na common sa Market naparating ko narin dito. Last Time we Check We Already Sold 637 pcs. Sling to Adult Retail and Wholesale or more Hindi pa kasama Freebie.

Then After a Few weeks I Purchase Some More Specimens
From Jreb, Krib And Other Hobbyist.

It was like a bubble! My Collection Grew Fast! But my Time run out...
Ineeded to go back to work. So I came Back to Work Abroad. I Left All
my Collection in My Brothers Possesion Till I Came Back to The
Philippines.

But my Fascination in Keeping This Crawling Jewels Didint Stop
Growing. I was Searching in the Net And I saw A Reptile Shop Near
Downtown San Diego Cali. So Went to Check it Out. It was Nice They
Mainly Sell Reptiles like Snakes, BD and Gecko Only 3 kinds of
Tarantula I remember. But There Was Something In The wall Reptile
Show Everywhere. So I decided To Go to One Show Just Curious. So we
Drove to Arizona and Check it out Stayed For 2 days. So when We Went
inside it was a Surprise Lots Of Known Spider Breeder From the US and
Europe. It Was A big Show Acctually But Still Reptiles was the Main
Attraction.

I Talk to Some Breeders and Purchase Some Specimens Got Some Great
Deals. After That My First Shipment Came!

Salamat sa mga nag babasa Hope You Guys Share Also The Same Passion i Felt When I was Started Keeping Tarantulas.

After My First Shipment It was all good Sold Almost all the Specimens. But For me it was not all about the Revenue. It Opened my eyes and saw the real Passion For Keeping This Crawling Jewels It showed me the True Value Of Keeping Them not Just Collecting Them . I dont Know If People would Understand me. Maybe Only Who is in Ecstasy with Tarantulas or Hold The True Passion for keeping Them. One Time Me And Bosing Were Talking about It!!! We Told Each Other Sometimes We Look Crazy Coz When Were Explaning Something To Other People or friends about Spiders! We do look ______! Its Funny How It is! Just The Passion maybe.
