nice congrats arvin sa joey mo.

na check ko nga pla yung pouch ng sg ko 2 lang ang dede nya. di ko lang alam yung ibang female ko.

nasilip mo pa yun? heheh! akala ko apat..

nahihirapan akong i-tame yung nanay nung mga joey. nahahawakan ko naman pero nangangagat pa rin. naisahan na naman nga ako kanina nung nagbigay ako ng treat.

Here's the diet that I feed my gliders.

Please note that Ensure is the American vers
blueprint.tanlimco: You will need:

250 mL Ensure Can Any flavor as long as it is NOT chocolate (You can buy this at any Drugstore or at your own grocery)
250 mg Any human grade Calcium carbonate w/out added minerals (Also available at any Drugstore. I use Tums Brand any flavor except mint and crushed 1 and 1/4 tablet of it)

1 TBSP Assorted Veggies

1 TBSP Assorted Fruits

1 TBSP Protein (I usually use superworms, yogurt (Nido or Nestle Brand), scrambled eggs, chicken)

As mentioned above, the 250 mg Calcium carbonate must be crushed into a very fine powder. The calcium carbonate will then be mixed with the Ensure Health Drink by shaking. After everything has been mixed well, pour into ice cube trays while ensuring that each cube measures to be 1 TBSP. Freeze the ice cube trays and once the Ensure has been frozen, transfer it into ziplock freezer bags to avoid freezer burn. Then each night, take 1 Ensure cube for 1 gider and 2 for 2 gliders and so forth and so on.

Nightly rations for ONE GLIDER should be:

1 tbsp or cube Ensure with calcium carbonate added

1 tbsp Assorted Fruits

1 TBSP Assorted Veggies

1 TBSP Protein (It's alright if you'll only feed them one kind of protein every night)
blueprint.tanlimco: mportant points to remember while following this diet:

1.Only follow the recommended amount of calcium carbonate to be added to the Ensure Health Drink. I am using the TUMS Brand and though each tablet is 500 mg, it only contains 200 mg of Elemental calcium in it so I have to use 1 and 1/4 tablet of the vitamin.
2.Calcium citrate could also be used as a substitute for the Calcium carbonate
3.Always make sure that when purchasing Calcium carbonate or calcium citrate tablets, it should have no other added minerals as the Ensure is already loaded with lots of it.
4.Choose only fruits that have a high calcium and low phosphorous and oxalate contents.
5.Also follow number four when choosing your veggies

1.The way how you prepare your veggies and fruits is definitely up to you. I personally prepare mine by mixing all the fruits in a blender, make it into a smoothie and pour it into ice cube trays. I found my babies to be eating well the fruits when it's all juiced up and they only have to slurp it all.
2.My veggies are also blended and poured into ice cubes. The only difference in this one is I mixed the veggie smoothie with honey coz mine prefers it that way. The honey masks the bitter tang of the spinach in it.
3.The protein I'm feeding to my babies are rotated every other night.
4.I am using a 2 divisioned food dish for my babies. One division is for the protein while the other division is for the ensure, the veggies and fruits. Yes, you read it right, I am mixing the

pwede na yung usual na cage para sa love birds

pero mas malaki mas ok saka yung patayo mas ok sa kanila.

basta may tubig at kainan may sanga para akyatan nila.

check mo narin sa net sir yung ibang cage set up ng sg.

mga kuya nabasa ko kasi sa net about sugar gliders.....pwede rin pala to maging carrier ng leptospirosis like sa rats?....bibili na sana ako kaso im scared about what i searched....totoo kaya un som suggestions or replies pls ??

I haven't heard of that bro, pero kung malinis lang naman tayo sa ating sarili at alam natin ang dos and dont's I guess wala tayong dapat ikabahala. Smile

ah kasi sinearch ko po sa google yung mga diseases na transmittable sa humans na galing sa sugarglider at nabasa ko po yung leptospirosis...

But Prevention is better than cure naman eh hehehe

napapasa lang naman ang leptospirosis pag incontact sya sa daga na meron din. lalo na sa urine ng daga. kaya mas maganda bumili sa kilalang breeder para sure na malinis ang makukuha mong pet.

bakit ba ako pumunta sa thread na ito!!! parang gusto ko na rin bumili ng joey hehe

ask ko lang pede ba sa kwarto ilagay ang cage ng sg? mabaho ba sila?

pwede naman po sa kwarto pero may scent talaga sila.. lalo na ang male SGs.. basta well ventilated ang kwarto at syempre nililinis mo ang cage.

@arvin- pwede silang magkarabies kung magkakaron sila ng contact sa meron rabies. parang tao at ibang hayop din pwedeng magka rabies pagnagka contact sa hayop na may rabies.

@ alpo- pwede sila sa kwarto basta lagi mo lang lilinisin katulad ng ibang pets pag di nilinis magkaka amoy.

mas ok kasi kung 2 months OOP mas kita mo na yung behavior ng joey. na-try ko nang mag-alaga ng 1 month OOP na joey, tutok lang talaga sa alaga..sa akin kasi mas naaawa ako..lalo pag ng-crab. ^^

as much as possible you should spend time more with him even doe he asleep put him on your shirt and cover it abit so even if your useing your computer you still get to bond with your glider i got mine like july 26 first day he was screaming at me pero when he asleep i put him on my shirt and sometime i pat him and he enjoy it and the next day onwards he never scream at me , next ill try to train him to respound when i call him by name and come to me if you guys know anything about it please teach me oh and my little guy name is Skyler cat

Sana this 1st qtr makabila na ako SG ko, last yera pa ako nag paplano.

Share naman kayo ideas para sa DIY cage ng SG. Balak ko gagawa lang ako ng cage.
Saka ano po ba the best everyday food for SG?
