Hi,

Scorpions that are close for a molt are very big, bloated. The tergites are distended and show the membranes in between. The scorpion will look like a stretched sausage. Scorpions in pre-molt behave typically sluggish.
I'll bet you can find pictures here, and if not, on Arachnoboards.

PS. Please do not write your whole topic title in Capitols.

got my answer of the behavior of my swammerdami.. hope it is the sign of pre molt of my scorp.. Very Happy

Some scorps darken in color just like Ts. I have a C. margaritatus who recently molted into 6i, before she molted she was noticeably darker.

I think though the best indicator is they get really fat, are less active, and stop eating. Just like how a T's abdomen fattens up, the scorp's entire body balloons up.

My 5i Heterometrus longimanus in premolt stage

Yan po muna sa ngayon , wala pa po kase akong makitang mas clearer pic. ng premolt na HH , AA etc
Papalitan ko na lang po yung pic. nung R.junceus pag may nakita na kong mas magandang pic and sorry po pala kung sa sulit.com.ph ko pa kinuha yung pic nung h.longi ko , yun na lang po kase natirang pic. nya saken eh (di ko naman po nilagay yung mismong link peace sign
