What kind of crab then sir? I saw one here selling "Halloween crab" but its pure red and when I researched about what Halloween crab, it looked multi-colored than just red.

hmm kinda ot kasi but i'll make a new thread soon hehe

fiddler crabs that sell 5 pesos each dati baka 15 na ngayon (or worse) and the christmas island red crab that sells for 200 bucks and it lives for 5-7 years.

2 years lang ang average life ng fiddlers but theyre so cute and take up little space. downside they require little seawater.

xmas crabs on the other hand are fully terrestial. they only require a humid environment and a freshwater source. they only return to sea in order to breed and lay eggs

nope magkaiba sila. mas independent ang coconut crab of water. they a 3feet legspan and are mostly extinct or endangered sa ibang island locality nila

Pero meron nyan dito sa pinas di ba? O hindi coconut crab yun? Alam ko kasi pag bata pa ang coconut crab parang hermit din sila na nag tatake up ng shell like komang

Pano ba ma differentiate ang baby komang sa baby coconut crab? Dami kasi hermit crabs sa beach malapit samin, tapos gabi lumalabas yung mga malaki, naisip ko baka di na komang mga to kundi coconut crab na

more active ang coconut crabs pag daytime. the hermits do well pag night time. the juvenile coco crabs live in crude nests near tree trunks, hermits either burrow near the shoreline or in jungle covers. un carapace ng coco crab is way way wider than a hermit's
