kinalbo po yung shih tzu ko na si HYUN KI... dahil buhol na yung mga ibang part ng buhok nya.. tapos after nya makalbo.. napansin po namin na nagkaroon ng sugat yung balls nya... eto po yung picture.... ok lang po ba yan? di po ba makakasama sa kanya?

Everyday brushing is the key para gumanda yung hair, painumin mo ng cod liver oil para mas gumanda yung buhok. You may use Bearing shampoo (red) sa kanya, may tick and flea solution yun and pang long coated dogs talaga. use a conditioner after every shampoo. use a detangler para sa buhol (brush with metal bristles) makakabili ka nun sa petshop or sa cartimar. after using a detangler, use a regular comb para mas maayos.

Try to give him Vitality dog food para mas maganda ang hair. Ako I uses Eukanuba sa mga tzu ko, pero pag summer i give them vitality.
don't forget na bigyan sila ng ice (yelo) sa water bowl specially pag summer or pag mainit ang panahon para d masyado maglagas yung coat.

Huwag mo hayaang dilaan yung balls niya na may sugat (as shown what your shi-tzu is trying to do), usually namamaga at parang nagkaka burn siya sa affected part with continuous licking, maliit lang yun pero puede lumaki, betadine diluted to distilled water ang ipanlinis mo, 250mg. amoxicillin suspension at 4ml twice daily for 1 week for prevention will do, kapag makulit at dinidilaan, gawan mo na lang ng improvised na E-collar para di niya maabot yung sugat.

sir, pasingit na din ng tanong. meron din kasi ermat ko 3month old palang. dinala namin sa vet last time, tapos sabi nung vet eh iba daw amoy nung shih tzu namin parang may skin problem daw? medyo red daw yung skin nya sa bandang dibdib tska parang naglalagas balahibo nya. sabi nung vet, scrape nya daw yung red part na skin para malaman kung anong sakit daw yun. i need your help mga experts! pahingi po ng tips or any alternatives para magamot yung skin problem na sinasabi nung vet? thanks in advance!

Usually, tinitingnan kung anong parasite ang nasa skin ng dog but most of the time they will give an injection of ivermectin and multivitamins, then You will be asked to come again for a follow-up injection after 2 wks. Here are some things you can do to avoid skin problem:

1). Sanitize your cage or environment always, if you use disinfectant and insecticide in the surroundings, make sure they dry up completely before you re-introduce your pet, to ensure that they will not be poisoned.

2) Bath once or twice a week, use dog soap or dog shampoo with antiparasitic and antifungal properties, there are commercially available pet products with herbal ingredients that are proven effective. Make sure you bath them well with water after application with shampoo or soap to avoid residues that may facilitate medium for fungal growth, dry them up completely with a towel, moist body and hair will also facilitate bacterial and fungal growth due to the warm and moist environment which is best for growing bacterias.

3) Give oral multivitamins daily.

4). Try not to feed your dog with table food so that you may know what causes their allergies, some skin problems is due to food allergy, if this is the case DO NOT FEED WITH FOOD CONTAINING POULTRY BY-PRODUCTS LIKE CHICKEN, EGGS AND FISH. They had the most allergen that can inflict allergic reactions.

sir anong klaseng cod liver oil po yon? at tutubuan pa po ba ng hair un tzu ko? 3 mons old palng po sya.. naglagas po un hair nya galing sa pinagka balakubakan..
hindi po kc sya na alagaan nung pinag bilhan ko.. dami nga po nya kuto ehh..
