Pa-identify ng gender ng h.laoticus ko.
Hnd kasi ako sure kung anu ssundin ko eh (pectine teeth count or genital operculum shape).

kayo n bhala kung anu ggmitin niyong technic bsta tell me your observation and kung what technic gnamit niyo.

btw, this is my largest h.laoticus which has a 1.5" body(chelicerae + prosoma + mesosoma). tail (metasoma) is not included. can you guys guess the possible instar of just by this? well, according to chef j. yenko's guess nsa 5th instar daw to cguro daw.hehe. ask ko nlng din sainyo bka alam nio. kasing size nga pla to ng 6th instar na longi. i dont know kung same size lng ba species ng laoticus sa longimanus. please help.

With its current size, it is possible that it is not so noticeable. However, I'm more inclined to say it is a male based on the shape of the genital operculum.

For heterometrus, females usually have a heart shaped operculum with a visible depression.

I can't find other pictures except the one I prepared for my H. fulvipes years ago.

for me male nga din kung ibbase sa genital operculum. hindi lang ako sure kung san b ako magrerely. sa pectine tooth counts ba, sa pectine shape, gen operculum, or pure sexual dimorphism.
