My female Greenbottle Blue always hits the paintbrush when i test her temperament, she slaps the paint brush with her legs, sometimes she bites it, can i still handle her? she's about 4"

for me no, you could already see signs of aggression on your gbb so why risk it. mahirap na hahahah

Sir gud day ... First of all discourage ko talaga ang handling of our Beloved Tarantula specimens kay stress yan sa kanila and makati on our part... Just to answer your question sir the answer is " Yes " ...Take her out of her enclo and then handle her on you palms ... Dont try to hadle her inside her territory coz they tend to be aggressive pag sila nasa teritoryo nila..

Kala ko idol mabait na sayo?....sabi ko naman wag mo gamitan paint brush....di naman yan aso need himasin....lalabanan ka talaga nyan akala siguro hahampasin mo ng brush Very Happy

Possible na cage defensive lang, pero sa gnyang temperament its better na iwasan nlang ang handling Smile

try practicing no handling policy, as what Boss JODECS said Very Happy

and tulad ng sabi ni marvzxd, bka dala lang ng nerbyos dahil sadyang skittish kasi mga tarantula khit di nkalagay sa caresheet.. pansin ko rin ksi kung malaki yung ipapang poke sknila they tend to just run away as compared kung fine brush/forceps ang gamit pang poke.

share ko lng dati may napanuod aq kay jeff corwin hinawakan nya un lasiodora parahybana with his bare hands *wild un ah* basta sabi lng nya make sure na mafeel ng tarantula na sahig ung palad mo gagapang lng xa....ayoko i try makati khit hindi ako kagatin...hehe, hanggang nuod nuod lng ako sa mga tarantula

yup tama ang idea na yan paps...pro mas mabuti pa rin na wag nalang hawakan kasi baka makagat po tayo mg mga alaga natin and malaki po ang impact nito sa hobby in General if in case may na allergy / hospitalized or etc due to a bite or sting.... Wink

tama sila sir.. sa lahat ng tarantula its better na wag nalang hawakan para iwas sa accident. ako na try q na hawakan ang mga T's ko pero sa mga hindi inaasahang pag kakataon like nung lumabas sa enclosure ang t's ko pero par ahawakan cla for no reason its a no no for me.. mas ok n sakin na panoorin ko n lang sila. safety first lang palagi sir. Basketball

agreed to them much better if hindi mo hahawakan pero pag hindi ka talaga makatiis na hindi hawakan ang mga alaga katulad ko eh abay ganito ang dapat mong gawin 1st remove the T from its enclosure para mawala yung aggressiveness na meron siya takluban mo ng delicup then kapag natanggal na siya first try to poke the T from its legs pag di pa rin gumalaw poke it's abdomen kapag unti unti na siyang gumagalaw and showing no aggression put your palm infront of the lid of the container then continue to poke the so that it will move until it reaches your palm that's it kapag nasa palad mo na yung T make sure na yung height ng pagkakabuhat mo is hindi masyado mataas kasi kapag nalaglag yung T sa kamay mo at medyo mataas ang pinagbagsakan it might cause death to our tarantulas
